ART RUSSE Foundation was founded in 2012 by entrepreneur and philanthropist Andrey Filatov, with the aim of developing a greater understanding of Soviet and Russian cultural contributions. In particular, it focuses on collecting and increasing international awareness of Russian art dating mainly from 1917 – 1991.
The Foundation owns one of the largest collections of Russian art of the late 19th – 20th centuries. Its aim is to increase appreciation for this genre through exhibitions, loans to international museums and galeries, and publishing books and catalogues on key artists and artefacts.
ART RUSSE FOUNDATION AND CHATEAU LA GRACE DIEU DES PRIEURS
In accordance with the agreement signed in May 2017 between the ART RUSSE Foundation and Château La Grâce Dieu des Prieurs, reproductions of 12 works of Russian painters from the Foundation’s collection will appear annually on the Château’s wine labels.
While cooperation with Château La Grâce Dieu des Prieurs is a completely new experience for ART RUSSE, it is perfectly in line with efforts undertaken by the Foundation since 2012. Creation of unique wine blends is undoubtedly an art in itself. Bridging the art of winemaking and the art of painting, the project supports and further develops the tradition of supporting cultural projects by business community.
