Champagne Jacquinot & Fils Celebrates its 70th Anniversary
On September 1st 1947, Pierre Jacquinot, who was a Champagne wine merchant, and his two sons Jacques, a broker, and Jean-Guy established the Champagne house Jacquinot & Fils. Jean-Manuel Jacquinot, Jean-Guy’s son, and François Nicolet, his son-inlaw, celebrate this year the 70th anniversary of the House. For this occasion, both are at Vinexpo Bordeaux and will offer a unique tasting about the influence of conditioning on vintages (Tuesday 20th at 11:00 am).
Symphonie vintage 2008, the last vintage of the Jacquinot brothers, will also be honoured during Vinexpo Bordeaux. For this new vintage, the harvest was the last conducted by the two Jacquinot brothers: Jean-Guy died in October 2008 just after the grape harvest and Jacques passed away in May 2009.
Symphonie 2008 is a blending of 60% of Chardonnay and 40% Pinot noir. Its robe is golden, brilliant and dense, signs of a long aging.
